Greg paved the way for the Schnurr team to become one of the most accomplished, dynamic, and successful painting and coatings contractors in the South. Not of Texas… The whole U.S.. Having completed contracts in Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida, and of course, all over the large state of Texas, Greg has led the company from its inception into fulfilling the Vision of what it remains today, a leader in competitive hard bid commercial and industrial coatings contracts. Some of Greg’s accomplishments… bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin, began Schnurr Painting from the back of a VW Van, achieved over $5 million gross sales per annum, clients such as Dell, Motorola, AMD, Samsung, Chevron, and 100s more… PDCA local, state, and National President, leader in technical specialty coatings especially in Semiconductor fabrication environments. Greg still lends his expertise and wisdom and talents to the team, but also finds time to drive 4x4s around his land and count his sheep and peach trees, as well as raise exotic birds. He occasionally drives his 1956 Chevrolet Bellaire around Wimberley. If you see him honk.

He has an unusual obsession with networking and winning bids “outside of the box”, is known to take off and trail run on long trails in the backcountry. Jason is originally from Austin, and used to work at PseudoRock rockclimbing gym and still knows many secret ATX bouldering spots. Also, studied Spanish from middle school through college (but can’t speak as well as his brother). As the most recent addition to the company, Ruben’s integration into multiple facets of the company has proven invaluable. Ruben brings a diverse array of skills and knowledge stemming from his involvement in many different past ventures. As the Founder of Alcaraz Farmer’s Insurance Agency, his tenure brings a command of not only insurance and bonding directly applicable to the commercial construction industry, but he also brings an understanding of budgets and financials to help in effective field project management. Additionally, Ruben worked his younger years for his family company in auto body and repair, where he learned the technical side of paint coatings and their applications. Ruben also has experience in the real estate industry, and applies his expertise towards the company’s business development opportunities. Ruben is also a talented and gifted soccer player, having played in college at San Diego City College and the USA Olympics Development Program.

Jerome began work with the Matson Coatings team in 2013. He has successfully bid and contracted over $12 million in paint projects in his time with Matson. Jerome is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He moved to Vail Colorado in 2003 where he was a Project Manager/Estimator for B&B Excavating, an acquired company of Oldcastle Materials. In Colorado he oversaw multiple deep utility, excavating and paving projects, most notably the $25 million dollar Vail Streetscape project completed in 2010, and unfortunately worked too much to perfect his downhill turns. Thereafter, he transitioned into the Lead Estimator position for B&B. In 2012 Jerome and his wife Magda moved to Austin, TX and joined the Matson Schnurr team. When Jerome isn’t scrutinizing plans, painstakingly crunching dimensions and rates, and obsessing over his timeliness responding to RFIs, he can be found fronting his rock band screaming into microphones and wailing on guitars. Seriously. He rocks.
